Training

I am not currently offering training as I am concentrating on my client work.

 What is adult MHFA?

It is a course designed for adults and is advised for all workplaces.

This MHFA course is designed to raise awareness and reduce stigma around mental health. The course teaches the skills and confidence to allow individuals to engage in initial conversations with their colleagues around mental health. This interaction could range from having an initial conversation through to supporting the individual to get appropriate help in a crisis. Mental Health First Aiders (so anyone who has completed the course) can spot the signs of mental ill-health and are vital in providing early support for someone who may be developing a mental health issue.

Why should I consider running this course in my workplace?

Cost and health.

We all have mental health and, just like our physical health, it needs looking after. The rates of mental illness in the UK is high with as many as 1 in 4 adults experiencing a mental health illness in any given year. The economic cost of mental ill health is estimated at £74-99 billion a year and the human cost is incalculable.

This course is for everyone. By increasing the conversations we have with others and asking the right questions in the right way we can help to reduce the rates of mental health and the stigma attached to it. This will in turn also increase well-being and decrease financial loss associated with mental ill-health, such as time off work.
